1. Region: Hong Kong, China
- The market of Hong Kong commercial electric vehicles is growing. To meet the future logistics development, some enterprise plans to invest the first batch of motor vans and launch eC-Van for green development.
🔹 In 2019, only 6% of Hong Kong's private car were electric, but it has increased to 63% in the first quarter of the year. Sufficient charging facilities are the key in promoting the use of electric vehicles in logistics industry.

2. Region: Shenzhen, China
- Shenzhen International Smart Logistics Port Pingshan Project officially started its construction. It aims to establish a new digital logistics parks in China.
🔹 Safe, efficient, low-carbon, environmentally, and highly intensive high-standard logistics warehousing and business supporting facilities are necessary materials of the project, which boost the development of Pingshan's advanced manufacturing industry.

3. Region: Guangzhou, China
- At June 1, a train transporting with furniture, clothing, shows, and other special commodities made in the Greater Bay Area passed through Guangzhou customs. This is the 1,000th China-Europe train under the supervision of Guangzhou customs since the first China-Europe train opened on 2016.
🔹 Guangzhou Customs has supervised the opening of the “Suiman-Russia" export route since 2016, and they add new routes continuously. At present, it has formed a total of 16 normal routes of "11 out out and 5 in", building a large international logistics network.

4. Region: Shanghai, China
- From July 19 to July 21, "2023 Container Multimodal Transport Asia Exhibition" will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Hall. It is co-organized by Informa Markets and China Containers of Industry Association.

5. Region: Tianjin, China
- Tianjin port is an important carrier of Tianjin's "one base and three districts". As a sample city at the seaport of Beijing, Tianjin has helped China rise to 31st in the World Bank's global business environment ranking.
🔹 Based on the strategic plan, Tianjin will focus on creating a convenient sea port for Beijing. It will strengthen the connection between Tianjin Port and Beijing airport and land port transportation. Most importantly, it can establish a normalized contact mechanism with logistics central enterprises.

6. Region: Qingdao, China
- In terms of accelerating the development of modern service economy, different measures are implemented in Qingdao, for instance, it involves the implementation of smart operation technology, new cold chain logistics base in Qingdao West Coast New Area, and creation of an airport-type national logistics hub.

7. Region: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh & Haiphong, Vietnam
- Vietnam‘s Da Nang city proposes to tranform into an attractive logistics centre by 2023, and they will study the formation of free trade zone with Lien Chieu Seaport and Da Nang International Airport.
🔹 Also, Vietnam registered more than 61,900 new enterprises with a registered capital around VND568.7 trillion from January to May 2023.

8. Region: Seoul & Busan, South Korea
- The volume of goods transporting from Korea to China has been increased within three months of a row. Export routes has been on the rise that increased 5% to around 89,000 TEU, and the impot volume increased 21% to 171,200 TEU.
🔹 Earlier, HMM discontinued codeshare services with Korea shipping countries and opened a new ICN service thar operates in different countires, such as Korea, China, and Vietnam.

- Amazon.com utilised new artificial intelligence aross a dozen of its largest waregouses to screen items for damage before the shipments.

10. Region: Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Bangladesh pays efforts to ratify an international convention in early June on recycling ships. Their purpose is to increase safety and environmental standards.
🔹 Once ratified, all countries will have two years grace period to convert ship braking yards into green standard.
