▶ Many regions keep focusing on logistics industry for developing a better imports and exports.
1. Region: Hong Kong, China
-The "OOCL SPAIN", one of the world's largest container ship berthed in Hong Kong for the first time at March 25, showing the status of green and smart international shipping center. The carrying capacity of ship container is around 24,188 TEUs.
🔹The third runway of the Hong Kong International Airport is expected to be fully operated in 2024. This will showcase the unique advantage of Hong Kong international financial center and further improve the digital logistics transformation.
-Recently, the Hong Kong government is expected to withdraw its ban on transhipment of e-cigarettes, raising expectations for the export air cargo market from Hong Kong.

2. Region: Shenzhen, China
-The Shenzhen Airport-Liege Airport cargo flight is constructed in 2023. At the same time, 8 international flights had been added in this year at the east and west wings of Shenzhen Port, which aims to become a global logistics center with high importance.
🔹Shenzhen airport ranked top 20 in the world. Further, the international and regional cargo volume increased 6.6% yearly.

3. Region: Guangzhou, China
- In the first 2 months of 2023, Guangzhou customs kept supervising 68 China-Europe trains for import and export, which had around 6,000 containers and a cargo weight of 38,000 tons. Those data indicates an increasing trend.
🔹 The import and export of e-commerce reached 2.11 trillion in 2022, and the ChatGPT technology could empower the cross-border e-comerce business, such as production selection, material production, and customer service.

4. Region: Shanghai, China
- The national railway and air freight operate steadily, with a total of 77.708 million tons of goods transported smoothly from the Logistics Group of the Chinese government.
🔹 LT summit 2023 and G20 Leadership Summit was held in Shanghai during March 21 to 22, focusing on the digital logistics and ecological innovation system.

5. Region: Tianjin, China
- Through the working meetings of Tianjin Tobacco Logistics Center, 49 specific tasks and 82 corresponding implementation measures will be set for logistics modernization and development.
🔹 A batch of red wine is imported from Chile to Tianjin, and it is transported to the international freight center of Tianjin Airport Logistics Company for exporting to Hong Kong. It strengthen the logistics business connection between different places.

6. Region: Hanoi & Haiphong, Vietnam
- With the country's total import-export turnover reaching nearly US$123 billion between January 1 and March 15, the nation has a trade surplus of roughly US$3 billion, according to figures released by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
🔹 Accordingly, computers, electronic products and components took the lead with US$2.22 billion, followed by phones and components with US$1.75 billion, other machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts was at US$1.57 billion, whilst textiles and garments were US$1.23 billion.
7. Bangladesh
Payra Sea Port - A new era of possibilities
- Payra Port is the 3rd sea port of Bangladesh located in the district of Patuakhali. The government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has formulated short, medium and long term plans to develop Payra Port as a modern sea port.
Future opportunities
🔹 The port has achieved sufficiency in providing essential services like pilotage, tugs and survey to merchant ships.
🔹 Besides, successful signing of capital dredging contract has been a milestone. Bangladesh’s container traffic will increase from todays 4.3 million TEU to 20.9 million TEU in 2050.
