At the same time, political instability in Myanmar and Bangladesh’s port upgrades are affecting regional logistics dynamics.

 

 Hong Kong

  1. Port Decline: The Port of Hong Kong has dropped out of the top 10 busiest container ports globally for the first time, with a significant decline of 14.1% in container volumes over the past year​
  2. Increased Freight Rates: Freight rates from Hong Kong have been rising due to capacity constraints and increased demand across Asia-Pacific routes​
