    A General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) is a company or entity appointed by an airline or a group of airlines to handle both sales and operational activities, including cargo services, in a specific market or region. In addition to the responsibilities of a GSA, a GSSA also manages the cargo sales and operations on behalf of the airline(s). They handle functions such as cargo booking, tracking, handling, customs clearance, and documentation. The GSSA's role is to facilitate and optimize both passenger and cargo operations for the airline(s) in the designated area.

 

 The Roles and responsibilities of both GSA and GSSA:

  1. GSA (General Sales Agent):
  • Sales and Marketing: A GSA is responsible for promoting and selling the airline's passenger services in a specific market or region. They develop marketing strategies, conduct advertising campaigns, and participate in travel industry events to increase awareness and generate passenger bookings.
