Curfew in Bangladesh, Port Operation & Internet Service has been Suspended

We regret to inform you that due to an nationwide disruption of internet services in Bangladesh, we have been unable to receive and respond to your emails. Additionally, port operations and customs work have been abruptly suspended since July 19th. As a result, some containers were not loaded onto their scheduled vessels, and a significant amount of air freight cargo was offloaded from projected flights. This disruption has caused a backlog in the submission of Import General Manifests (IGMs) for all import containers, which may incur late submission fees and necessitate the rescheduling of some containers to the next available vessels. Unfortunately, these circumstances are beyond our control, and the situation remains challenging.

The disruption is due to ongoing violence and strong student protests across Bangladesh since July 18th, which have tragically resulted in numerous casualties. A nationwide curfew is currently in effect, and the Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and the Bangladesh Army are actively working to restore order. As of today, we have experienced only intermittent internet connectivity for a few hours (from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM) solely for office purposes. Port operations have resumed at a very slow and manual pace.

We remain hopeful that the situation will improve soon and that normal operations will resume as soon as possible.
