Aimed at providing a collaboration platform for suppliers and demand-driven enterprises, the event catalyzed the improvement of green marine fuel supply chains. Nine memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed, covering cooperation in green marine fuel business development and trading market establishment, supporting Hong Kong’s goal to become a green marine fuel bunkering and trading hub.

Shenzhen, China

🔹 Shenzhen Proposes Nation’s First Maritime - Air Composite Port Hub

On June 27, the Shenzhen 2025 Measures for Optimizing Port Business Environment formulated by the Shenzhen Port Office came into effect. The measures aim to innovate cross-border UAV logistics customs clearance models, explore UAV trial flights at qualified ports, and promote the acceptance of Shekou Port’s cross-border helicopter entry/exit expansion project, establishing China’s first maritime - air composite port hub to enhance logistics efficiency and strengthen its international logistics hub status.

 Guangzhou, China

🔹 Nansha International Logistics Center Opens
On the morning of June 23, the northern warehouse of Guangzhou Nansha International Logistics Center with a storage capacity of 252,000 tons commenced trial operations. Located inland from Nansha Phase III Container Terminal on Longxue Island, it is the nation’s largest port - adjacent warehouse complex. Focused on export - oriented (with auxiliary import) operations, it offers diverse logistics services. Its operation will generate a "magnetic effect," covering the Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area and Pearl River Delta cities within 100 km, enabling seamless "road - water - rail" intermodal transport, reducing enterprise logistics costs, and advancing Guangzhou’s construction as an international shipping logistics center.

Shanghai, China

🔹 Shanghai - Jiangxi Ports Jointly Launch Logistics Products and Establish Empty Container Center
On June 25, the Shanghai Port Group and Jiangxi Port Group jointly launched the "Gan - Hu Tong" waterway logistics product and inaugurated the Jiujiang Empty Container Center at Hongguang Port Area. This cooperation opens an efficient logistics corridor connecting Jiangxi’s inland ports with Shanghai’s international shipping center. Since the two groups jointly established a company for integrated port operations in July 2023, Jiujiang Port’s container business has grown rapidly, with throughput increasing in 2023, 2024, and the first five months of 2025. The collaboration not only promotes the construction of the Jiujiang regional shipping center but also provides high - quality end - to - end logistics services for Jiangxi enterprises’ import/export trade, aiding Jiangxi’s integration into the Yangtze River Delta and dual - circulation development.

 Tianjin, China

🔹 Tianjin Unblocks Cross - Border "Life Channel" for CAR - T Cell Drugs
On June 23, Tianjin Binhai International Airport completed the first batch of simulated CAR-T cell therapy drug raw materials entry trial orders. A batch of immune cell simulators from Hong Kong entered the country via Air China flights and were delivered to the factory of enterprises in Tianjin Binhai Hi-tech Zone after rapid customs clearance at the port. Due to the particularity of CAR-T cell drug raw materials, the traditional logistics customs clearance model is difficult to meet the demand. To this end, Tianjin Customs jointly conducted on-site investigations with multiple departments, formulated a full-process customs clearance solution, and conducted customs clearance desktop simulations. With the success of this trial order, multiple departments have established an efficient coordination mechanism. In the future, they will continue to optimize the regulatory service mechanism for high-risk special items entering and leaving the country, and help more innovative drugs open up the international market.

 Qingdao, China

🔹 The first departure of the freight train from Longgong Port to Qingdao Port
On the morning of June 24, a train loaded with 48 carriages of heavy containers departed from Jining Longgong Port for Qingdao Port. The containers, carrying "Shandong - made" products like detergent and precision mechanical parts, will be shipped to the Americas from Qingdao Port. Relying on the "road - rail - water" multimodal transport model, Longgong Port and Qingdao Port have established a global logistics network covering Central Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The regular operation of this train will drive the global expansion of southwest Shandong’s manufacturing industry.

Vietnam

🔹 Vietnam Officially Establishes Da Nang Free Trade Zone, Introduces Tax Incentives to Attract Foreign Investment
On June 22 (local time), Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister announced the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. Relying on the Lianzhao Port (annual throughput: 12 million TEU) and Da Nang International Airport, the free trade port constructs a "land - sea - air three - dimensional transport network." With preferential policies including 100% foreign capital control in key industries, corporate income tax exemptions for the first four years and 50% reductions for the next nine years, and pilot cross - border capital free flow, it plans to link the East - West Economic Corridor in logistics, expected to shorten cargo transport time between China and Southeast Asia by over 20% and reduce cross - border logistics costs.

South Korea

🔹 South Korea’s Incheon Free Economic Zone Introduces Unmanned Delivery Vehicles for the First Time
On June 24, it was reported that at the "2025 China - ROK Economic and Industrial Forum" on June 19, Neolix signed a cooperation agreement with the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, marking the first introduction of unmanned delivery vehicles in South Korea. America

🔹 U.S. West Coast Ports Witness Surge in Imports Amid Potential Tariff Adjustments
On June 25, it was reported that a large volume of maritime cargo arrived at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, expected to trigger a shipping boom as U.S. importers significantly increased container shipments to avoid potential tariff hikes. The U.S. had originally planned to reinstate 24% tariffs on multiple countries on July 9. Although cargo volume increased, given the recent weakness in container transport, West Coast ports were not expected to experience congestion. Long Beach Port operated at approximately 60% capacity, and Los Angeles Port at 70%.

Bangladesh

🔹 Chittagong Port Congested During Eid al - Adha Holiday, Causing 30% Export Delays
Chittagong Port faced severe congestion during the Eid al - Adha holiday (June 5 - 14), resulting in 30% export delays. During the holiday, importer pickups dropped sharply, and labor shortages caused loading/unloading delays, with many export containers missing scheduled vessels. Approximately 100 ships waited for berthing, and one cargo ship was delayed by 10 days. Warehouse rents were forcibly quadrupled, increasing vessel costs by $15,000 to $20,000 per ship. As Bangladesh’s main port, the congestion impacted domestic and regional trade. The government has appointed IFC as a consultant to advance the construction of a new container terminal, but in the short term, exporters need to rationalize shipping plans to mitigate impacts.

Myanmar

🔹 Myanmar Seeks Observer Status in Eurasian Economic Union to Deepen Regional Trade Cooperation
Trade between Myanmar and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has witnessed significant growth. Since 2019, the trade volume has more than tripled. The EAEU exports metals, electronic equipment, etc., to Myanmar, while Myanmar exports clothing and footwear to the EAEU. On June 26, 2025, at the Eurasian Economic Forum, Myanmar's Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing stated that Myanmar intends to expand economic and trade cooperation with EAEU member states and seek observer status. Previously, the two sides had signed a "Memorandum of Interaction" covering areas such as customs and transportation. During this visit, a memorandum on the establishment of an economic and trade cooperation committee and an agreement on mutual recognition of technical standards were also signed to promote cooperation in areas such as energy and communications. Myanmar hopes to break through Western sanctions and achieve economic diversification through these efforts.
