Hong Kong, China

🔹 Global Shipping Price Hikes Impact Hong Kong's Transshipment Cargo
Shipping companies like CMA CGM and Maersk will raise Africa route freight rates from June 7, imposing an $800 peak season surcharge per TEU for China (including Hong Kong) to West Africa. Despite a 50% surge in U.S. route capacity within two weeks, freight rates remain high, exposing Hong Kong— 作为 a transshipment hub—to potential cost transmission pressures.

 Shenzhen, China

🔹 Shenzhen Unveils Implementation Plan to Enhance International Logistics Services
On June 4, Shenzhen’s Commerce Bureau and Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the Implementation Plan for High-Quality Development of Service Trade and Digital Trade. The plan aims to strengthen international transportation capabilities, including expanding maritime routes to Europe, Oceania, and Africa; increasing cross-border e-commerce maritime express services; scaling up bonded fuel oil and LNG bunkering for international vessels; and exploring cross-border helicopter flights and emergency rescue services via low-altitude intelligent infrastructure.

🔹 Huangpu Global Supply Chain Center Marks One Year with $900M Import Value
The center adopts a "goods landing declaration" model, allowing enterprises to transport goods directly to the center using inbound manifest information—eliminating the need for overseas warehouse sorting. This reduces logistics time by ~50% and cuts warehousing costs by 80%. Huangpu Customs supports operations through intelligent gateways and logistics traceability platforms for efficient vehicle passage and visualized logistics tracking.

 Shanghai, China

🔹 Shanghai Airports Expand Overseas Cargo Stations in Africa and the Americas
On June 4, at the Munich International Logistics Expo, PACTL (a Shanghai Airport Group subsidiary) signed dual agreements:

  • Co-building Addis Ababa Airport Cargo Station with Ethiopian Airlines (40,000㎡ warehouse, 600K tons annual capacity).
  • Partnering with Lufthansa Cargo Mexico to build Mexico City Airport Cargo Station (10,000㎡ warehouse, 100K tons annual capacity).
These mark Shanghai Airports’ first overseas cargo stations in Africa and the Americas, aiming to optimize global freight networks and enhance intercontinental connectivity.

 Tianjin, China

🔹 Tianjin International Inland Port Drives Industrial Synergy via Hub Functions
Centered on Tianjin South Railway Station, the port has expanded new businesses like scrap steel recycling and ore "road-to-rail" transportation, forming a "old resources—new channels—high value" conversion chain. Monthly cargo volume exceeds 40K tons, with circular economy business growing 10% monthly. It offers customized "rail-sea intermodal" solutions and "bonded warehousing + customized train" services for seamless inland factory-to-port operations.

 Qingdao, China

🔹 4th China (Qingdao) International Logistics Expo Opens
Opening on June 5, the expo attracted over 300 domestic and international logistics enterprises, with 520K online/offline visitors. Under the theme "Intelligent Chains Connecting the World: Empowering Port Logistics," it featured signing ceremonies for Laoshan District’s modern logistics industry and a partnership with Cambodia’s logistics association to expand into Southeast Asia.

🔹 YTO International Upgrades South Korean Overseas Warehouse Services
On June 5, YTO’s South Korea branch upgraded its overseas warehouse services, deploying 4+ warehouses in Incheon with 10K+㎡ total area and 10K+ daily order capacity for same-day delivery to major regions. Its end-to-end solution—covering warehousing, order processing, local delivery, and after-sales—enables Chinese sellers to match South Korean domestic operational efficiency.

 America

🔹 Trump Administration Demands Trade Agreement Proposals by June 4
The Trump administration has required countries to submit final trade agreement proposals by June 4 or face restored high tariffs. The White House has sent letters to major partners (EU, Japan, Vietnam) demanding tariff quota plans for industrial and agricultural products and commitments to resolve digital trade barriers. Failure to comply may trigger punitive tariffs, such as a potential 54% rate on Chinese goods, intensifying global shipping price volatility.

 Bangladesh

🔹 Chittagong Port Severely Congested with 44K Containers Backlogged
Ongoing domestic unrest has paralyzed Chittagong Port, with 44,117 containers 积压 (80% of yard capacity) and loading/unloading efficiency dropping to 25% of normal by June 6. Only 329 TEUs were handled on June 5 (vs. daily 4K+), with an estimated 1K on June 6. Inland container yards have halted port shipments, crippling garment and textile exports.
